Against It? You Betcha! ...but not...

There will be plenty of nitpicking on both sides about factual errors large and small incurred in the vice presidential debates on Thursday. But the one that really burns my cookies is Cousin Sarah's claim that she led the charge to divest the Alaska Fund of investments in the Sudan, because of their human rights atrocities. Well, gosh darn it, Sarah, turns out you not only didn't try to get the Alaska Fund to divest, but "lack of support from the Palin administration actually helped kill the measure."

Yeah, Sarah, turns out that claimin' to be involved with human rights is different from actually doin' it.

Record Refutes Palin's Sudan Claim

Apart from all the misinformation and bad grammar -- it's NOO-KLEE-ER goddammit!! -- Sarah Palin's unabashed admiration for Dick-less Cheney was chilling and telling and a warning. People like her defend a literal interpretation of the bible yet consider the Constitution a set of suggestions. This next month is going to be an all-out assault from the McCain't/Flailin' machine to run this election off into the ditch for the Dems. I wonder how low they'll sink to attempt to steal THIS election (wink).

{{{shuddering}}} And doggone it, wasn't it just the cutest thing when she talked about how she'd like to expand the Veep's role even more than Cheney? Far as Sarah's concerned, the only thing that man ever did wrong was shoot his best friend in the face. You betcha!

I also have MM, and have just had a BMT. After reading all your posts on Sarah, I would have to think the MM has also made your mind sick. I really feel sorry for you, you have fought against the disease only to become such an angry person. Life is to short to become so hateful.

Yowzah, Anon, thanks for all that pity, but you should save it for those with moral blind spots the size of... elephants. Life and/or MM hasn't made me angry, but stupidity and blind acceptance? Yeah, that gets me going.

You know what else frosts my buns? How about the asshole who picks on a cancer patient because she doesn't like her politics? Huh? What kind of a petty, hateful creep is that?

Just kidding, you come on over and poke my sore spots any time you like. I just ask that you challenge me on specific points rather than a blanket "you're a big dope," because that's never been in dispute.
